Why the jet, specifically
Ronaldo has lived a commuting career (Madeira to Lisbon, Manchester to Madrid, Turin, back to Manchester, now Riyadh) while maintaining homes and businesses in Portugal and Spain and playing international football throughout. A long-range business jet turns a Riyadh-to-Lisbon weekend from a logistical problem into a routine. For an athlete whose recovery schedule is a professional asset, that is closer to infrastructure than to luxury.
