The $18.7M La Voiture Noire myth
In 2021 outlets around the world reported that Ronaldo had bought a Bugatti La Voiture Noire: a one-off hypercar priced at $18.7 million and, at the time, the most expensive new car ever sold. Ronaldo denied buying it. The claim still circulates and still inflates published estimates of his collection; we list it purely to debunk it, and exclude it from our total.
The Centodieci is the one that matters
Bugatti built ten Centodiecis as a tribute to the EB110, each at roughly €8 million before tax and options. Ronaldo has been photographed driving his. Limited-run hypercars of that kind have historically appreciated. That makes the Centodieci one of the few items in a celebrity garage that behaves like an asset rather than an expense.
