How it compares
At roughly $7 million the Azimut is a modest boat by billionaire standards, closer to a large family cruiser than a superyacht and an order of magnitude below the private jet. It is a useful corrective to the way Ronaldo's spending is usually described: the expensive items in his life are the aircraft and the cars, not the boat.
Depreciation, not appreciation
Unlike the limited-run Bugatti Centodieci, a production yacht is a depreciating asset with a running cost conventionally estimated at around 10% of hull value per year once crew, berthing, fuel, insurance and maintenance are counted.
