In December 2015 Ronaldo committed a reported €40 million of his own capital for 50% of a joint venture with Portugal's Pestana Hotel Group. It remains the largest documented cash investment of his career, and unlike the licensing lines it carries real operating risk.
The portfolio now runs to six open hotels — Funchal, Lisbon, Madrid, Marrakech, New York's Times Square and Riyadh — with Porto, Paris, Newark and Montevideo reported as pipeline. Third-party estimates put the portfolio at €150–225 million, implying his half is worth roughly €75–110 million, or close to triple the entry cost.
